I sometimes think the word 'should' would be wonderful if we could ban it from our vocabulary! Keep 'blogging', it's a whole different world. Enjoy.

I know!  Should is a very insidious word.  Thanks for the encouragement!

Thank you for the comment on mine and for this very interesting post. I have never thought of myself as a writer and am finding it fascinating that the process of blogging is making me feel more like one. I suspect blogging is quite freeing, in whatever direction it takes you!

If "letting go of perfectionism" is what
you are doing then keep doing it because
(as a reader) your writing is a pleasure
to read.

You seem to be able to capture thoughts and emotions that are hard to express in words
and many of which I recognise in your writing.

It is comforting to know that there are
others who have similar analytic thoughts but
rare to find them expressed so clearly.

So keep letting go.

Wow! Thanks so much! It's always nice to know that people are reading and getting something out of what I have to say.

Rereading this again now, I think it really was mostly a purging of perfectionism and shoulds, two things that I constantly wrestle with, and my struggle to find a voice that feels like mine.

Still working on it, but feedback like this helps me keep going, so really. Thank you.
